As an Optician you should be PROUD of the POWER you have to make a difference to people when you give them the gift of sight. Be PROUD of the PROGRESS we are making in our PROFESSION through KNOWLEDGE and EDUCATION.

In keeping with our belief in knowledge and education, the Opticians Association of Michigan membership and educational seminars

  • Our dues are $125 a year for Membership

  • There will be an additional charge for Registration

    • ABO review course

    • Hands-on classes

    • MBCO test.

Whether you are an ABO certified optician or striving to become a certified optician we are hoping this new format will help to provide your educational needs.

OAM COMMITTEES

Convention committee

Assist with planning the annual educational event. Including but not limited to getting speakers, choosing course titles, and work with the venue.

Vendor Relations Committee

Assist with vendor communications, registration, and partnership opportunities.

Fundraising committee

Assist with gathering items and monetary donations including but but not limited to raffle, silent auction, and giveaways throughout the year.

Communications committee

Assist with all forms of communications, including but not limited to Social Media, Newsletter, and Website content.

Membership committee

Assist with registration on site at convention, assembling registration packets, and help with ways to advertise the OAM values.

Legislative committee

Assist in facilitating the goals, projects, and legislative agenda for OAM.
